Representing less than 0.5% of the world's wine production, Napa Valley has built unmatched global prestige over the past 50 years. Spanning just 30 miles long and 5 miles wide at its broadest point, this small appellation produces some of the most powerful and iconic collector wines in the world. While its international reputation grew rapidly, decades of dedicated effort to express Napa’s full range of flavors are what truly solidified its place as one of the most celebrated winegrowing regions.
Our time in Napa Valley, California’s first AVA, began in the southern end near San Pablo Bay, where cool afternoon breezes and nighttime fog help relieve the vines after intense daytime sun. These diurnal temperature swings support optimal ripening while preserving acidity and structure, resulting in wines that are both complex and full-bodied.
Heading north toward Calistoga on the famed Silverado Trail, steep mountain ranges rise from the riverbed on both sides. This dynamic terrain is home to 18 AVAs, stretching from sea level to elevations over 2,600 feet. Quality can be found across the valley, but true identity is shaped by each site’s unique combination of climate, elevation, and soil. Each of our partners in the region has a masterful understanding of the terrain they farm and the natural forces that shape the wines they produce.
We’re proud to partner with artisans across these diverse AVAs who bring intention, precision, and passion to their craft. When it comes to Napa Valley, the focus is always on the details, in pursuit of winemaking excellence for all of our customers to enjoy. That is what makes this region such a powerful enhancement to our private label and control brand programs.
